Salary: £24,000.00 – £26,000.00 per year

Receive a £1000 sign on bonus.
Must successfully pass a 90 day probation period to receive the sign on bonus.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our management team at Three Wise Monkeys Ipswich.

Our restaurant is known for its authentic smokehouse experience. Food is served throughout the day with a focus on slow-cooked, smoked food using high quality, local produce at the heart of everything we do. We have an excellent reputation for hosting Taster Evenings every month on our restaurant floor, as well as private functions and corporate team days.

We are looking for a restaurant manager with a positive personality who can build an instant rapport with our customers and lead the team to deliver exceptional standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assist the General Manager in achieving strong gross profit margins through valuable training and ongoing staff management.
  • Ensure revenue growth by running an efficient restaurant and working closely with our full-time promotions team.
  • Assist the General Manager in maintaining labour costs by creating effective schedules.
  • Manage reservations and customers enquires
  • Support and work with the management team for the purpose of improving the running of the restaurant and upkeep of the buildings.
  • Knowledgeable on all allergens and current food handling and safety regulations.
  • Recruiting, training and developing staff members
  • Conduct performance reviews and one to ones with team members.
  • Guarantee all aspects of health and safety, compliance and licensing are adhered to.
  • Liaising with suppliers and contractors
  • Be at the forefront of staff motivation and morale
  • Daily accounting duties

We’re looking for:

  • Restaurant Management minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A strong motivator and team leader
  • The highest attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills with clear, distinct briefing and delegation skills

As part of the Management Team you will be expected to work five days out of seven, the hours will be mainly evenings and weekends and it will be in a fast-paced environment.

Bar Manager

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our management team at Three Wise Monkeys Ipswich as a Bar Manager.

Our venue in Ipswich is known for its vibrant atmosphere, huge range of quality beers and a passionate focus on smoked American-style barbecue and burgers. The venue in Ipswich hosts a large range of DJ events and functions throughout. We also house a thriving basement gin bar and a restaurant floor.

Our Bar Manager will be passionate about forging a strong presence in the local night-time economy. They will build and develop our team with a love of crafting unique cocktails, serving first-rate beers and delivering excellent customer service. It is a very hands-on role and the bar manager will be working in the venue with the team’s leading by example.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Assist the General Manager in achieving strong gross profit margins through valuable training and ongoing staff management.
  • Ensure revenue growth by running a great venue, working closely with our promotions team
  • Assist the General Manager to maintain labour costs by creating effective schedules
  • Administrative duties including customers enquiries and bookings
  • Manage workplace conflicts
  • Guarantee all aspects of Health and Safety, Licensing is adhered to
  • Support and work with the management team for the purpose of improving the running of the venue and upkeep of the building
  • Recruiting, training and developing staff members
  • Conduct performance reviews and one to ones with team members
  • Be at the forefront of staff motivation and morale
  • Liaising with suppliers and contractors
  • Daily accounting duties

 

Qualities and experience that you will have:

  • Bar Management minimum 3 years’ experience
  • A strong motivator and team leader
  • Passion, enthusiasm and interest in craft beer
  • The highest attention to detail
  • Have excellent organisational skills with clear, distinct briefing and delegation skills

Chef de Partie

Job Type: Part Time

Salary: £10 per hour

Job description

We are currently seeking a Chef de Partie to join our team in Three Wise Monkeys Ipswich

The right candidates will ideally have experience working in a fresh produce kitchen, work well under pressure, be very consistent and possess excellent communication skills.

At TWM we have a busy ground floor pub, first level restaurant as well as a basement gin bar. Our restaurant is known for its authentic smokehouse experience. Food is served throughout the day with a focus on slow-cooked, smoked American barbeque-style food and gourmet burgers using local produce at the heart of everything we do.

You must be able to work Friday and Saturday nights.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes.
  • Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus.
  • Training junior staff members.
  • Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene.
  • Adhere to Health, Hygiene & Safety Act regulations.
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
  • Liaising with suppliers.
  • Checking deliveries for quality

 

Qualities and experience that you will have:

  • Experience of working under pressure in a busy kitchen
  • Level 2 Food Safety Certificates are advantageous but not essential
  • passion and enthusiasm for BBQ foods
  • Ability to work well in a team
