Restaurant Manager

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our management team at Three Wise Monkeys Ipswich.

Our restaurant is known for its authentic smokehouse experience. Food is served throughout the day with a focus on slow-cooked, smoked American barbeque-style food and gourmet burgers using local produce at the heart of everything we do. We have an excellent reputation for hosting Taster Evenings on our restaurant floor, as well as private functions and corporate team days.

We are looking for a restaurant manager with a positive personality who can build an instant rapport with our customers and lead the team to deliver exceptional standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overall day-to-day running of the venue and restaurant
  • Administrative duties including customer enquiries and bookings
  • Daily accounting duties
  • Liaising with suppliers and contractors
  • Excellent communication with Kitchen Team
  • Organising and training staff at all levels
  • Developing and maintaining standards

We’re looking for:

  • Restaurant Management minimum 3 years’ experience
  • A strong motivator and team leader
  • The highest attention to detail
  • Have excellent organisational skills with clear, distinct briefing and delegation skills

As part of the Management Team you will be expected to work five days out of seven, the hours will be mainly evenings and weekends and it will be in a fast-paced environment.

Sous Chef

£22,000 – £24,000 /year

We are looking for a talented Sous chef to join our kitchen team here at Three Wise Monkeys.

The right candidate will work closely with the Executive and Head Chef to maintain and build upon the excellent reputation our venue has! Have a desire to drive and develop the already high-quality products forward. They will be hard working, highly motivated and have great teamwork and leadership skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the Executive chef & Head chef and able to run the kitchen in his/her absence
  • Experience in menu development & costings
  • Plan and take part in monthly taster nights
  • GP, wastage control & H&S monitoring
  • Producing new dishes and menu ideas
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with FOH team and developing junior members in the kitchen

We’re looking for:

  • Restaurant Management minimum 3 years’ experience

The successful candidate will be competent working with fresh meats and produce, have a passion for BBQ style food and have some experience working with smoker machines.
